MedStep AI — Privacy Policy

MedStep AI is an educational study app operated by MC SANTE PLUS SERVICES LLC. This policy applies specifically to MedStep AI, Android package com.mcsanteplus.medstepai. Hosting these pages on FindTheIdeas does not make another app's privacy policy apply to MedStep AI.

Study features and local data

Bundled practice questions and flashcards work offline. Your optional nickname, scores, streaks, and points are stored on your device. Your nickname is not sent to the online leaderboard. Online rankings use an anonymous learner label. The app does not ask for an email address, password, patient records, location permission, contacts, photos, or payment details.

Online AI features

When you use online AI generation or rankings, Firebase Authentication creates a pseudonymous guest identity; you do not need to register or buy a subscription. The app sends its Firebase identity token to the AutoQuiz AI backend at api.autoquizai.com to authenticate requests. Quiz topics and selected subjects are sent to that backend and its AI service provider to generate study content. Servers and service providers also receive technical information such as your IP address and request timing. Online access requires internet and may have free daily capacity limits.

Do not submit patient-identifiable information, confidential records, or other sensitive personal information in topics or reports. AI-generated content can be inaccurate and is not personalized medical advice.

Scores, reports, and service records

If you set a nickname and finish an online session, the app may submit your score, streak, and game mode. The backend associates scores and daily usage with a hashed guest identifier. The public leaderboard shows an anonymous learner label, score, streak, mode, and rank. Question reports contain the topic, question, reason selected, hashed guest identifier, and submission time. Generated quizzes and limited usage records are stored to support retries, operate the service, and prevent abuse. MedStep records use separate collections from AutoQuiz video credits.

Advertising

The free app contains Google AdMob banners. Depending on consent and applicable settings, Google Mobile Ads may collect and share approximate location inferred from IP address, app/ad interactions, device or advertising identifiers, and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Google consent messages are requested where applicable. Where available, use Profile → Ad privacy choices to revisit those options. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily disable all permitted SDK data processing. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google ad controls.

Providers and security

We use Google Firebase for guest authentication and backend storage, hosting infrastructure, AI service providers for generation, and Google AdMob for ads. Data sent to these services may be processed in the United States or other countries where providers operate. Network requests use HTTPS. No system can guarantee absolute security. We may disclose information when legally required or needed to investigate abuse or protect users.

Retention and deletion

Local study data remains until you delete it in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall. In Profile → Delete my MedStep data, you can remove local study history and request deletion of your online leaderboard entry, saved generated quizzes, and reports associated with the current guest identity. Internet is needed for server deletion. Limited hashed usage counters may remain for fraud and abuse prevention. This action does not delete records independently retained by Google or other providers, and does not remove all Firebase authentication records. Provider retention and backup practices may differ.

You may also request help or deletion by emailing services@findtheideas.com with subject “MedStep AI privacy request.” We may need information to locate your guest records; do not send passwords, medical records, or payment details. Requests may be limited when information cannot be linked reliably to your guest identity or must be retained by law.

Children and choices

The app is intended for adults aged 18 and older studying medical subjects, not children. We do not knowingly solicit children's personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information. You can use bundled study features without online AI generation. Device settings provide additional advertising-ID controls. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain processing; contact us to make a request.
